Aidan gets it. I discovered that whenever the camera is on the red eye setting (several flashes), about halfway through the flashes, Aidan gives a big grin. Over and over again. It's so adorable!! I took several pictures of him over the half hour he and Ian were eating dinner, and I received the same big baby grin. Love it.

Scrap Addict

Ginger came out with two new kits - The Soldier and The Soldier's Wife.

I created two layouts using her kit (I am on her creative team after all!)
I love these layouts: one features Kevin O'Brien (I stole his pics from his facebook!) and the other features a John Mayer concert Dan and I went to on my birthday in 2007.


I have been busy!!



I have a really cool announcement coming April 1st! It's in regards to scrapping and I am really excited.

A long time family friend of mine, Mary Lou Weidman, is an amazing artist and quilter. She is so inspirational to me as a person and as an artist. Once you see what this amazing woman can to with fabric, you'll be just as amazed as I am. She is such a giving person and (as I understand it) drew out the design of the quilt pictured above for the Fiber Artist guild of Spokane,WA/and Idaho who then pieced it all together. 6 Months

Aidan Baby is 6 Months old today. He'll go see Dr. L next week for his checkup. Right now he weighs 21 lbs 5oz and since Ian took off with my measuring tape, I can't do his length today.

However, here is a pic of our handsome brown eyed baby




Current loves: All food. Even our food. I just started making purees for him from fresh fruits and veggies. Tonight I had pizza margherita and he loved up on the bits of tomatoes from my slice. The kid just loves food.

At least that's what Ian says.

Last night we were fortunate to receive 4 free tickets, from MomSelect, to attend the Thomas and Friends Live show at the INB Performing Arts Center. Ian had a blast. Aidan on the other hand - not so happy. The loud noises scared him and I think he whined or cried for a good portion of the show. Towards the end he pretty much just gave up and relaxed.

Hypothyroid

The bloodwork results came back today - how quick was that? They called at 8:30 this morning.

1. My carbamazapine levels are great (TN meds) and dosage is fine - no harm on my liver right now
2. For the thyroid panel results, my free T-4 level is low. I am not entirely sure all the logistics just yet, but it indicated hypothyroid and I will be starting levothyroxine tomorrow. In 6 weeks, I go back for another blood draw to see how the meds are working.

My mom cautioned me that I may feel edgy or hyper at the first few doses and I said GREAT! - I need more energy.

I feel better getting this checked out again. I wonder if the pounds will drop off a little easier now! lol

Bloodwork

Today I had an appointment with my GP, Dr W. He's a godsend. It's comforting to have a doctor take me seriously regarding my "other symptoms" - ones that aren't necessarily a result of anything neurological or my medication. About five years ago I saw a GP through Group Health. She ordered bloodwork for my thyroid and found I had a TSH of .01. I am not even entirely sure the meaning of that but my new GP thinks it was worth ordering a complete thyroid work up today. My former GP tested my blood several times but never treated. I changed health insurances about 6 months after the last workup and never had my TSH checked again. Dr. W and I talked about my neuro meds too. He seemed well versed in Trigmenial Neuralgia and also ordered liver enzyme tests (since they haven't been done yet) as well as a test to measure the amount of carbamazepine in my system.

In the end it may be something or everything may be nothing. I will be curious to hear the results when they come back.

On another note, Friday I am visiting Dr. P's office to see Dr. M for removal of tooth #14. I am really glad I opted against getting the tooth root canaled because yesterday and the day before it crumbled a little bit more. I just have a gut instinct the build up would have failed. (Thank you Ms. C OB for the sound advice and encouraging support on that issue).

All in all we are chugging along over here. Hopefully it won't be too long for the bloodwork results.
